At this point it had been over 2 years since we release the Self-Titled EP and everyone was getting anxious. I think we had actually already recorded Wasted Love Songs, but we were taking our sweet time mixing it. So this album idea spawned out of a way to get something out while we were still working on WLS. It was a cool project idea, that each person in the band would write and record all the parts to their "sad love song". While recording WLS we had Diana and Wes come in to play some parts...and well they just kinda stayed after that. The band kept growing. We appropriately released Six Sad Songs on Valentine's Day in 2008.
